On 10 June 2026, executives and staff from the Language Institute, Chiang Mai University (LICMU), led by Assistant Professor Sakorn Ruanklai, Director of the Language Institute, visited Hokkaido University of Education and Hokkaido Bunkyo University, Japan, to discuss academic collaboration and promote the Study Abroad Program.

The delegation also conducted a Pre-departure Orientation for seven Hokkaido Bunkyo University students who will study at LICMU this August, along with a Thai Language and Culture Workshop featuring a traditional Lanna Tung making activity. The event attracted more than 60 students and received enthusiastic participation.
